For this challenge, I was given a typographic anatomy term and a type foundry to work with and had to design card, front and back, that illustrated the term. Given that Universal Thirst, the type foundry I was assigned, was founded on creating well-designed Indic and Latin fonts, I knew I wanted to incorporate cultural influences from India as well as Iceland. I chose to depict earrings inspired by Indian chandabali or moon earrings. I created the background gradient with Photoshop and layered the earrings with Illustrator. My goal was to target the fine art, gallery setting.
